mr_colt
Thanks, My BASC book listed the various sizes but pellet/BB amount/sizes above no1 were not included. But how do you compare those to the "nought sizes" ? For example if somone says "00 Buck" ? mr_colt
henry d
00 buck = .33" 0 buck = .32" 1 buck = .30" 3 buck = .25" 4 buck = .24" These are all American sizes, there are oddities with Italian and Spanish sizes, ie. 12/0, 11/0 or 5,50 , 6,20............. Floating Chamber
OMG get an Eley 'Shooter's Diary'! There's pictures as well!
mr_colt
Ill have a look into the eley diary... I don't see how it hurts to ask a few questions though. I'm applying for my SGC but that doesn't mean I'm going to rush to the local gunshop on the day my ticket comes through (besides their shotgun prices are a little dear.) I am going to take proper clay lessons at Shugborough shooting school and I'm thinking of joining Wednesbury Marksmen for the Target and practical target interests. So I will have to go through probationary training like everyone else. I know my knowledge of shooting is restricted to years of Air-Rifle; therefore I naturally class myself as a complete novice and don't pretend to be otherwise. mr_colt. cartridge
what is the biggest shot size you can get on a sgc
Floating Chamber
what is the biggest shot size you can get on a sgc Depends on the gun. A shotgun cartridge must contains 5 or more pellets, each of which is no bigger than 9/25" in diameter. So, a standard 12 gauge 'SG' shell will contain 9 pellets, 'a standard 'LG' shell will contain 6 pellets. When you go down to .410, AAA is the largest IMHO to stay on this side of the law. I hope this helps you.
