Magpies are gay
I have this problem with some of my bunnies and big rabbits!! If i see one and it staring strait at me, i prone down really slowley with a bipod! And its still staring dead at me! i gently squeese the trigger and BANG, but the rabbit has gone befor the pellet hits!!! you can see the smoke off the soil behind were its head was but, ITS GONE!!!! ! Are these just super rabbits, or am i doing somthing wrong! Im only about 30yards away and this still happens! i got a 12ft/lbs springer! Whats wrong?! Some times that happens but some times it doesnt!?
Fisherman Mike
You are not doing anything wrong Mag.. You have just missed thats all!!! There is no way a rabbit is going to hear the crack of the rifle at 30yds. before the pellet strikes unless you have got a duff spring or air leakage at the breech seal. Sometimes the pellet just catches the fur and bunny is gone in a flash makes them look as though they are superhuman ( or even superbunnian) Check your gun out first and the zeroing of the scope at 30yds. especially if it was not zeroed in a prone position as the trajectory of the pellet can be affected if it was zeroed standing, enough to make a difference between success and failure at 30 yards. Magpies are gay
Thanks! but i know why! because i lined my sit up out of my window 30yards away! so i would have had to put the 1st or 2nd up on its head! So it went just over because its a .22 the trajectoray made it look like it hit just behind! But it went high! oh well!! i have learnt from my mistake! All types Rat, A day trotting a stick float on a Autumn River is my favourite... Did a lot of match fishing in the 70,s but to be honest got pretty bored with it. However at the time it was great.. Each to his own.. FM
