rjimmer
There was mention on the news tonight that two lads in Scotland were being done for hunting foxes with dogs. No traditional hunt was involved so I assume that the lamp picked up a fox and lurchers went after it. Nice soft target for the antis to get a first conviction, I supect. Anybody here know more about it?
rjimmer
Perhaps they were digging then!!!
Guest flightline
The two lads seem to have had a principled objection to the Scottish hunting ban and pledged in Court total opposition to it. Good for them. The badger sett, in the Times, was reported to have been "disturbed". We don`t know whether it had been at all, whether if it had been it was them, or if it had been disturbed for some other reason. They seem determined to appeal any conviction in the hope of getting the law overturned. I support them and have donated to the Scottish Countryside Alliance to appeal this **** law to Europe. Cranfield
I think the "badger" reference is probably a technicality, as they appear to have been using terriers on foxes earths. Be assured, they will get the best defence, that the Countryside Alliance can buy. 8-)

rjimmer
Be assured, they will get the best defence, that the Countryside Alliance can buy. If they have got this organized properly, they will be on legal aid and the taxpayer will be financing the case, albeit with a lawyer chosen by the Countryside Alliance. Guest flightline
That makes a pleasant change from the taxpayer potentially funding opponents (like the League Against Cruel Sports) when they oppose an application for a hunting licence if the Hunting With Dogs Bill is passed.
