fatchap
Spent the last two hours trying to fathom out the assembly instructions for my new Proxxom mini milling machine and have just given up, I'll have another go later when my migraine has subsided. The instruction manual is the thickness of an Argos catalogue and covers German(obviously) France, Italy, Sweden....most of Europe inc the UK. However the English section when you eventually find it is to say the least vague. All the other countries seem to have quite detailed instructions covering quite a few pages, The UK however has 2 pages and pretty much says These are the parts now get on with it. Attaching the bed requires 4 allen bolts which do not match anything I have key wise, No idea what size they are, you would have thought they would have included a suitable sized allen key with it. Assembling the clamping set up was just as confusing, The instructions merely mention the parts but don't tell you how they go together and a picture of what its supposed to look like once you have managed to work it out, but it shows no detail of what bit goes where and what screw or bolt to use. You get a bag with so many bits of metal in it. There is no key to the parts which is a great help. Proxxom make some pretty good kit, shame they seem to think everyone who buys thier products are a certified genius and can assemble them blindfolded. What with the diabolical weather, the gauntlet of rules now just to go for a pint, and useless assembly instructions I need some industrial strength paracetamol.
