Hunter
......... a bottle of Sloe gin open just now. Made it on the winter of 2005, and im pleased to say its TOP stuff. Not too dry not too sweet. This is the second bottle I ever made of it, first attempt was too dry. Smell is.. slightly sweet with of course, a touch of alcoholic fumes... overall, im quite pleased with it. Theres less then a litre though.. wont last long B) I have the kit to properly cork clear wine bottles of Sloe gin, and this ones kept its cork seal since 2005. I will make a few bottles this winter again, and store them or up to 3 years. Usually make a sample, and open one a year. So far this aged bottle has been the best. Piebob
I've always left my sloe gin at full volume - does anyone water it down a bit to match the shop bought stuff? Or do we all like 40% too much?
