Just an idea Paddy, The Midland gamefair is this weekend coming (I think) as you have access to a computer, write up your CV. A CV just shows your jobs to date, your academic achievements and your contact details. However you can make it better by adding what you learned in each job and what you achieved. So any keepering skills etc ... whatever you learned.

Keep it to 1 page of A4 and no more than 2. Use bullet points if need be... no long paragraphs. Then someone can see what you can do for them right now.

Maybe add a few lines on what you wish to do for a job. Put your age and if you have transport etc.

Make sure your name and all your contact details are clear so someone can call you or write to you (or email).

You will need to think about this a bit or perhaps others on this forum will have some ideas ..... but make loads of copies and distribute them at the Midland gamefair. It is much better to target people in the area.... so a bit of thought is needed. local companies at the gamefair may be good to have a chat with and try to leave them with a couple of CV copies each.

If you go to the fair in a car..... make up posters for the windows as someone may well spot it and be interested in you. You've not much to lose...

Just a thought ....

Good luck

Malk

Hi

I Had a word with one of keepers last night, he said sorry nothing doing at the moment, unless you want to do some beating (not consistant though and no way would it be on the books) - he said best time to ask is in february when the gamekeepers move jobs and people need a hand around the estates.

Sorry mate

Paul
