Henry Milnes small lathe

If anyone is looking for a small lathe, I have for sale a 1920s Henry Milnes, which comes with 2x 3-jaw chucks, 1 x 4-jaw chuck, faceplate, a full set of screw cutting change gears (metric and imperial), drill chuck, centres, a range of tools and a 240v 1/2 hp electric motor, drive belts and countershaft. The lathe is mounted on a solid blockboard and occupies 24" x 40", including the countershaft and motor. I have had it for over 35 years, used it successfully to make bits for my bikes, cut threads on it. It is adjustable for wear, not that there is much on it!

I am in NE Kent, not far from the M25, and it will take two strong men to lift it into a car boot. I can't help - spinal discitis

That's a beautiful piece of kit mate! I would love it but I couldn't afford the divorce that would follow! 😁

My response to my wife, should she complain about how much time I was spending making things in the workshop was on the lines of:-

You know where I am.

I am not down the pub drinking away my wages.

I am not chasing other women.

I come in when dinner is ready.
