steve_b_wales
I've ordered a 'wet' tumbler and I now need some of the above. I've noticed that most companies are selling them in a 5lb weight. Would that amount be needed to be added in one go? Also, what's the best size pins to purchase and what company is recommended? Thanks
phaedra1106
Depends on the capacity of the tumbler, my 7 litre Frankford Arsenal uses 5lbs as did the Thumblers B (Rebel 17 Extreme) I had before it. Quite a few of the usual online firearms dealers sell them or Amazon have the STM or Lyman ones now and again. Don't buy from CousinsUK, they advertised 6mm (which is ideal) but sent me 10mm which were useless. As they are a "business to business" seller they wouldn't pay return postage even though they admitted describing them incorrectly on their web site!. One good splash of washing up liquid and 1/4 teaspoon of citric acid granules (off Ebay). Despite what you may be told you don't need any more than that, all they do is soften the water to enable the washing up liquid to work better.
