Semi-Auto Stu
Hi all. Went out with me brother on sunday morning for about 4hrs shooting over outdoor pigs. You wouldn`t believe how many piglets the crows kill. Anyway, we used half a dozen plastic deeks, managed to shoot a few and replace the plastic with real birds, put out two flappers and ended at lunchtime with 96 crows and jacks and three pigeons! Excellent sport! By the way, I am in Hampshire, near Winchester. Happy shooting............

Suffolk shooter
How do you get on shooting over pigs. Reason for asking is I was asked by somebody recently who has permission on land with outdoor pigs in temporary huts etc, but couldn't give an answer. I assume you're doing this with shotgun??? Oh yeah to PW. Enjoy SS

I've got a couple of permissions for piggeries and they normally produce well.
mossy835
we used to go out on a foggy morning sit in the pig arks, and wait for the crows to come in just when we have put down food for the pigs,we had over 300 pigs so a lot of food went down, we had great fun.but as for the crows killing the pigletts, we never had that,

Shooting over livestock I have done with air rifle over pigs on the farm I used to work on when I was younger, but Shotguns B) I completely understand about farmers getting Pee'd off with the blackstuff, on the A14 towards BSE, you see tons of the blackstuff hitting the pig fields as the farmer feeds them. Semi-Auto Stu
Hi all. Yes, using a shotgun to shoot over outdoor pigs. They don`t take any notice of the shooting at all. One thing to remember though, don`t put any real bird deeks in with the pigs cos the pigs will eat them!!!. A good point of entertainment is when the piglets, very cautiously, get brave enough to approach and inspect the flappers that we use!.
