tikkamark
The rifle certainly cant be blamed that group on the right is excellent, you must be pulling the trigger rather than squeezing it or as you have said flinching just as the shot is fired in anticipation for recoil or the bang. kip270
Skinner, as you say you have the load right, if your mate can shoot that group size. What were you aiming at???(it looks like a plain bit of paper) Were you shooting prone/sitting/standing etc??? Do you have any other rifles?? Take a look here for some tips B) http://www.huntingmag.com/big_game/dirty_dozen/ http://www.gunsandammomag.com/techside/better_100505/ http://www.shootingtimes.com/longgun_reviews/mark_091306/ http://www.rifleshootermag.com/shooting_tips/trigger_092105/ http://www.rifleshootermag.com/shooting_ti...ccuracy_062904/ http://www.rifleshootermag.com/shooting_tips/shot_1125/
myuserid
Ask the farmer to shoot your cz .223, if he gets a good group its you. As already said above your probably not pulling the trigger correctly, I had a similar problem, I was sliding my finger across when pulling the trigger which moved the barrel slightly. pin
Nigel Teague will do a good job, precision engineering is his business. He made custom inserts for Big George to shoot the all round (which he won) in the states - taking his 12bore right down to .410.

Are you having it screw cut for a sound moderator or muzzle brake?? It wont cure your flinching. Got to go back to basics. Go through everything you do before you squeeze the trigger, then settle your breathing, settle the cross-hairs on the target, exhale make sure the cross hairs are still on target and SQUEEZE off your shot, and do the same for each shot. If you have a .22rimmy, get out and do some target shooting, and concentrate on each shot.
Suffolk shooter
I do something similar when shooting .22 on an indoor 15yrd range. I keep pulling rather than squeezing the trigger. It is annoying as I have to constantly think about not doing it, rather than relaxing and concentrating on the shot. Apparently it will all come right and then be second nature. Hope so as it would mean the difference of me shooting 79-80 ex 100 and possible 90-95 ex 100. It will be a long time before I get 95 upwards.esecially as I haven't been for a couple of months. All the best with you. SS
