Dave-G
Long story available but does anyone happen to have a long wheel nut laying about with 20mm~21mm across the flats I could have? Or a 40mm length of 20mm hex bar would suffice, I can bore it out myself. Many years ago I had some for fords I used for cabbing, perhaps someone has some in a shed. I need to make a tool to undo the "reverse" nut outside threaded retainer seen here with such a nut inside. Walker570
Good was just about to suggest a compromise. Have seen two nuts welded together ...on the bolt so they stayed square, then machined to whatever was required.
