Hawke Vantage Red Dot

Anyone used the Hawke Vantage red dot scopes please?

I am looking to stick one on my 22lr for a bit of plinking fun and a handy gun for walking around the pen when feeding the birds, therefore don't need a high end combat rated red dot sight.

I have recently fitted a piccatiny rail to my 22lr so believe the WEAVER one will just fit on no problem?

Having a look on Opticswarehouse, available for less than £100.

Just have to decice whether the 1x20, 1x25 or 1x30 would be best as well?

thanks

Also in the running for a bit more money, the Vortex Crossfire 2

Yes, I have one Lloyd. It's on my S&W M+P 1522 rifle. It's excellent and allows quick shooting. It's a Model: 1x30 - 12128 and cost me £155:85 inc pp. It doesn't have a zoom lens so is virtually useless when shooting at paper targets. The red dot is very bright on it's highest setting and can be seen clearly even on a bright day. I'm going to use mine on steel gongs and homemade targets. And yes, the weaver will fit it.

Thanks Steve 👍🏻

Do you think the 1x30 is about right size wise?

Other options are 1x 20 or 1x 25 🤔

Yes, it was recommended to me. There's very little difference in the size of the scope, no matter what you buy. I bought the Hawke one because of the guarantee and the excellent aftersales service. Mine was bought from Bagnall and Kirkwood who, at the time, gave the best price.
