Bolting bunny tool!

This is my S1 Mossi. I bought it from Fawcetts when they were still in Lancaster, so have had it a while.
Unable to find the Model 12 I wanted I suspected the slot would be removed at next renewal if I didn’t fill it, so jumped on the train at Penrith and returned with this.
It is 8+1 and has an indestructible Ram-line synthetic stock and fore-end.
It is a great bit of kit, with a couple of ‘snags’ which I’ve tried to rectify.
The perforated heat/haze shield on the barrel is just a tad too snug on the top edge of the fore-end when sliding back into battery, making it not as slick as it could be. I’ve tried to remove the shield but lack the tools to do so, but found that undoing its fixings makes the action quite slicker, but leaving it loose isn’t practical. Shaving a tad off the fore-end isn’t doable either in situ and I can’t remove it, so settle for silicone spray presently.
The comb is too low for me also but I got used to it, but it wasn’t perfect. I lost the bead off the muzzle at some point also, which shouldn’t matter, but it does, and it narks me.
Anyhow, have fitted a red bead for now ( which will probably come adrift pulling it out of it’s slip or soon after the first shot ) until I can find a screw in brass bead, and attached a comb raiser so it is now set up exactly like my trap guns, which I have tremendous fun with.
It is now my dedicated bolting bunny gun, and come Friday it will get its first run out if the weather suits! Looking forward to it. 🙂
