We had it really bad in '60 and the major scheme to prevent it happening again has stood us in good stead. Even putting a footbridge over a normally small brook which can very quickly turn into a torrent - and had - saved my wife and grand-daughter a detour and an even greater soaking in the downpour on the way home from school Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
