Shadowchaser
Both guns have the same basic specs. Same drop at comb and heel (which when I had an SX3 fit me like a glove), same rib width and stock adjustments available. The main difference is of course price. Does anyone here think the Maxus is worth the extra few hundred quid? The SX4 does lack a magazine cut off and speed load system (which I think is standard on all Maxus guns). My SX3 was a brilliant gun (red performance) though after a while it did start to show it's age. The red started to fade and went down to the bare metal in places. The butt pad started to look very worn and bitty, not something I've experienced with more expensive guns. Any thoughts much appreciated. Scully
Mate had a Maxus which I used many a time. The better of the two in my opinion and much better resale value, much more desirable and yes, worth the extra.
Ferretlurcher1970
Have a maxus camo which I use wildfowling. The camo is wearing away, but the gun has never missed a beat. Didn't like clever 3 1/2 cartridges second round kept mis feeding
