I chambered one of the Eley subsonic cartridges and was impressed at the very little noise it produced.(less than a spring air rifle) I then chambered a 3" magnum (non subsonic)Gevelot one, and I have to say that there was very little difference in the report, just slightly 'louder' but no 'bang'.
