Cranfield
I assume your "inbox" is Outlook Express. Have you tried to access your email on the Virgin Media website ? I had a problem with my email settings changing themselves in Outlook Express some time ago and I could access my emails through the Orange website. Then I had to reset all my Outlook Express setting and it was OK.

dustyfox
Even thou it says that you can change your email account it is still the original like if I want to sign up to sumthing it will be this- SB009r574@blueyonder.co.uk (not my or anyone elses email address by the way) that I would put in not stevenbruce@blueyonder.co.uk. Contact the Virgin media team if this does not help.
Graham M
In Outlook Express Go to “Toolsâ€/â€Accountsâ€/â€Propertiesâ€/â€Generalâ€â€¦â€¦ Then see if your name and email address are in the appropriate boxes. Click “Servers†and see if you have- “Incoming mail†(POP3) --- “pop3.blueyonder.co.uk†“outgoing mail†(SMTP) ---“smtp.blueyonder.co.uk†Lower down you will see “Account name†which should contain your original account name given to you by Blueyonder. vole
Hi Derek, I had no end of problems with the pop3 email accounts such as Outlook.I think its far too complex for the benefits which I am told it has. I ditched it and use the free and easy Googlemail.Cant fault it.I think you need someone to invite you to it tho. Pm me with your address if you like.I recall having the same problems as you describe.
