jimlsd
i went out this afternoon for a few hours pigeon shooting i was set up over bean stubble and had a few birds flying past.. i noticed a flock of about 50 flying two fields away on some fresh drillings.... so i moved to the spot where they were landing and set up with two dead bird flappers and a fake flapper and decoys. i set up a hide in between haybails beside a big stack.... i also put out an enticer.. i was well hidden and i waited and waited and waited!!!. then three doos came along and got the fat end of my tweleve bore (newly converted to fac 6 shot!) then crows started coming in for the enticer so i started on them.. and i got a couple on the the flappers and all hell breaks lose.. coming in from everywhere!!! for the afternoon i had 4 pigeons and 18 crows! by far the best day on crows ive ever had.. cheers got to the boys at ******* ** ** for their advice!! jim

jimlsd
it was the first official day out with the enticer.... i had it set up last week but i only watched the reactions.. we have had a lot of birds of all walks flying about just now... there was a big flock of really big type birds with some kind of white and black markings on the wings................. not sure what they were. but there was lots o them.. not sure they were fair game. the semi auto was working well and having the security of the extra shots is a blessing.. its the first sucsessful day on the crows! although they were not my prime target! there are plenty of doos here graham if you fancy a day next week? hawkeye
we have had a lot of birds of all walks flying about just now... there was a big flock of really big type birds with some kind of white and black markings on the wings. Fair chance that these were lapwings and are not on the pest list... We have some big flocks of them round here ..!! Funny farmers moan about crows & pigeons but never heard them moan about lapwings....
invector
Why should farmers moan about green plovers?
Ferret Master
Nothing wrong with Lapwings/Peewits/Green Plovers. Protected species and my favourite bird. FM
