steve_b_wales
Not so much for using on a flapper for pigeons, but ideal for corvids, who 'prefer' a slower wing beat. A few years ago, I bought a few of these via Ebay (# 386850184735) and connected them between the flapper and battery. They work well and can slow the speed down to your liking. They can also be used on a rota. The slight downside is that they draw a bit of extra power from the battery, but I use a 12v/10Amp hr one, which lasts for hours. As an experiment, I removed the internal circuit board and fitted it into a waterproof plastic case (excuse the poor quality, but it works) Not as good as a remote controlled one, but a hell of a lot cheaper. oldypigeonpopper
Hello, good idea Steve, Still on Ebay for £6, you can normally get it cheaper if you put it on Watching ??

Yes, they work well. I bought mine at least 2 years ago and paid around £4:70 if I remember correctly. Putting the circuit board into waterproof box worked well, and also reduced the size as well. I attached mine to the flapper/rotary motor. I'm waiting the the FF6 that I ordered a few days ago which will do away with the need for a timer/speed controller, but I'll still use my 'basic' flapper as an extra. I've just found out that the exact same one is £4:42 via Ali Express. Just type 12v LED light adjusting control.
