Mine is not totally 'drip free', mainly the occasional drip of steering fluid or gear oil, but doesn't need topping up between (annual) services, but it is 30 years old now. My (recently departed) 3 series BMW was drip free after 16 years. It's replacement (a Toyota) is currently bone dry underneath, but then it's only 2 years old as yet. The only one I have had to top up between services was my first one, which was a series three 2 1/4 diesel. It liked to use a drop of oil but did not drip.
