30-6
Hi guys, haven't been on here for a while for various reasons, but need your advice. I have done a search but can't seem to find what I'm after, and apologises if this has been asked before. I have a mk 1 Alpex which I keep fixed on my .223, I have a .22lr .17hmr .22 air FAC and a sub 12 .22 all with normal Hawke day scopes with standard scope mounts. So rather than change all to picatinny I thought the obvious answer was a rear add on . I'm thinking of a Pard NV007SP. I understand a side focus scope would be best, but is a rear add on doable with an AO scope ? It seems silly and expensive to change the scopes, for the amount of times they are going to be used as over the years my shooting activities have declined. So, anybody use rear add ons with AO scopes ? Other than that I'll try the good old red lamp. Thanks in advance, and once again, apologises if this has been asked before. London Best
Yes, is the answer. I use a Pard 007A rear add-on on a 1984 Bushmaster 4x32 AO scope on a 1984 HW77k. Works just fine. edit: I cannot make it work on any of my non AO scopes as all are fixed focus. Edited May 30, 2024 by London Best
30-6
Thank you LB. I have an old Tasco 4x40 Golden Antler TV view fixed focus, I'm going to try it just out of curiosity. I am very tempted to buy a Weirauch 95 springer as a " always ready " gun, for when I check rat traps, and it can go on there. When I tried it on the sub 12 AA s200, it puts pellet on pellet at 20 yds.
