I have watched the 2 programs and what I can't understand is why the 2 experienced pilots left it so late to make the turn. I know they stated that the controls may have been reversed but they didn't state for how long. Plus it was stated that the weather was fine and not shrouded in fog. Giving the pilots plenty of time to see the rising headland. Why did they leave the turn so late that they couldn't react in time to a given emergency situation. The pilots already had misgivings about the aircraft, so you would have thought they would have been extra careful. Either way this was a tragic event for all concerned.
