Goody
I usually buy 10+ ton wheat from my neighbour for our pheasants. Because the planting season was so wet he had bare patches in the spring so he planted them with spring barley. He therefore only has wheat barley mix, about 80% wheat. Will they eat it all up or leave the barley?

Goody
Mine are on growers but need to start mixing some wheat in soon. I've ordered a bucket (2.5T) of the mix from my neighbour, delivered tommorrow, to see how it goes. I'll report back!
Goody
I've used about 4/5 ton of the mix so far, which when it came is not 80% wheat but 50/50 at best! They started by picking out the wheat but now it all seems to go. Main problem is that its not very clean, too much weed seeds/chaff etc, will even block my pan feeders. Thank goodness for my 45gall drum/top hat feeders.
oldypigeonpopper
Hello, Quite often when I tidy the Grain Dryer and use the sweepings of Wheat and Barley to feed the local bird population it seems only the small birds eg Hedge sparrows do not like Barley, 🤔
