harrycatcat1
I know it's not actually wildfowling but I thought it the best place to ask. My question is, are goose decoys sentries necessary ๐คย I am thinking of buying some more sillosock decoys and there is no difference in price for 8 feeders and 4 sentries compared to 12 feeders. Thing is though sentries are more awkward to put away I'm not really bothered either way but curious what folk think ๐คย
6.5x55SE
Harry my advice is scouting scouting and more scouting. When i decoyed very regularly i always try ( unless who i was guiding had never shot wings cupped paddles down Geese ) i would sometimes be two fields away on the flight line also get in early kills your geese and let em feed. Sorry mixture of both feeding and head's up . Hence my long winded scouting comment. Good luck what ever Species' and county๐

guy baxendale
My general opinion is no. If you are on the right field they will come regardless.
