redial
As said Guntrader will be your best friend, you could also measure the barrel length and describe the condition.
Adam55
Hi, Clearly I've upset a few people on here. I didn't come here looking for a valuation, I was hoping to get some help regarding a world I know nothing about. I inherited the guns 14 years ago and they've been locked away ever since, unused. I know NOTHING about them or how/where to sell them. Judging by some of the comments on here I've committed a treasonous offence by asking for assistance in navigating the process. Thanks for the sensible replies, shame about the comment police. Cheers, Adam Edited November 6 by Adam55
jameshunter
I prefer to go to private sales. I think you get a higher price than to the shop on a commission basis.
oldypigeonpopper
Hello, For someone who has had a shotgun licence for many years from my understanding just to keep 2 shotguns that they inherited and never used or sold without researching on likely selling prices seems strange, They would have been worth more 10 years ago, now a Rizzini and Silma depending on model £100 each if in working order on private sale , less/more at Auction, All i can suggest is get them out the gun safe, take photos and description and look online as to see what they sell for eg Guntrader etc , Bearing in mind all those years not used they may have incurred metal fatigue if they have been stored ready to fire, it does happen with lower end made shotguns, But if you find all correct and in working order you could try to sell on PW, i doubt the Gun shops interested as one in Wiltshire i know has a Cellar full, now quite often you see on PW members need Cabinet room and will give away free or RFD at cost but you would still need to Price, The two shotguns if in GWO are ideal for someone starting out just to do some pigeon/game/clays shooting without over spending, Even rifles and air rifles are not fetching the same money like 10 years ago, It is a buyers market today and unfortunately not the seller unless you have something Special, I gave away a nice O/U Franchi to a young chap starting out a few years back, Recently again with a 22 L/R plus good scope, so why not try a sale on here following the rules and i feel sure there would be a PW member interested
