Dougy
I was bored today so gave my petrol power tools a bit of an overhaul today, 3 chainsaws, brush cutter, winch and hedge trimmer and noticed chain oil under the exhaust on a 230, (bought 2nd hand) it has some serious burning around the exhaust on the engine housing, likely caused by this fault. Removed the exhaust and found the problem, a missing plug causing the oil to pump chain oil onto and around the nice hot exhaust. Find a suitable plug tomorrow and fixed. TIGHTCHOKE
That might have caused quite a fire. Glad you got it sorted.

Will put a pic up tomorrow, i think it had one by the state of the housing. As you can see i think its been involved in a thermal incident 😄 Edited January 23 by Dougy
