loading your own shotgun cartridges

Recommended Posts

with the price of cartridges still going up, dose it work out cheaper in the long run to load your own

1 dose any one know any website about loading your own

2 as you can see i have not go a clue, what do i need ( hope to load 12g )

any info would to great

Not worth it for clay or game loads, but cost savings really come in for non-toxic or heavy 'exotic loads' which take your fancy.

It all depends on supply! My 12g clay loads 'cost' less than 50 quid a thou. My .410, (12 gram) 20 quid a thou. 12g 53 gram 3" cost less than 80 quid/1000.

I will say FC you must be getting certain components either cheap or Buck shee as there is no way you can reload .410 for that money.

But all the same however you do it -well done it is good to see.

Seriously Starlight, our costs have gone DOWN recently. Take a look in 'Shop Front' - Sporting Gun. No doubt one of our crew will be offering him twenty quid for the lot!

Remember, (and I don't want to sound pompous) I've been reloading since 1962 and have supplies 'finely tuned'.

I believe in maintaining good, cheap supplies:

Some of these below will be destined for Ferret Master!!

and that's just one gauge!

Well wallop me 46g of Hevi shot into some 3" cases, and hopefully they will only be 50 quid a thousand..........
