Hold on to your Ferrets!!

Just been out to seen The Golden Compass - watch out, with the main characters 'demon' often being a polcat/urmine type animal I reckon that many kids will soon be asking for a ferret for Christmas!!

A ferret's for life, not just for Christmas :look: - make sure if you sell any that they are going to good homes and not some kid wanting the latest cool pet - as you know it'll just be released to the wild in 6 months!

I was walking the hound along the Military Canal a week ago and an old chap was walking two ferrets on leads.

He use to work them ,but said he now has a bad back and has packed it in, he reckons they need some exercise, so he takes them for a walk.

I know a few people in the US that have neutered ones as house pets, complete with a litter tray etc.

Although mine live in a big cub and court in the garden they come in the house and are 100% litter tray trained. They also get taken for walks on lead and harness.

They catch a few bunnies too.

when i dont have the time to work them i put them on a harness.

it gets them out and they love it. it is also helps to get them fit to work!
