I have a sak on my HMR currently, but still find it a little noisy... are there better?

Ase Ultra are pretty good ( had one of these & are just better than a sak) = £60 - also the Atec A7 is very good ( mate uses on to great effect) = £150+, so may be a bit much

You'll never totally silence it, so I doubt a more expensive model will help that much. The ASE UTRA is supposed to be the best, or maybe the HMR specific ones that some chap on here builds.

I have a sak mod on my hmr it totally takes away the bang and what your left with is the supersonic crack which your never going to get rid of :look:

Probably thinking of DM80 njc? I have one on my HMR and most of us who do reckon they are the best going. They are calibre specific - that is, made for .17 HMR and not generic .17 / 22 like the SAK. Do a search for DM80 (Dave Mercer). He is very, very busy but will get back to you in the end. Cost is about £65 or so and well worth it.
