jimdfish
I have been given permission ot shoot a couple of fields on private land although there is a footpath running down one side of the fields. My line of sight to both ends of the path is at least 3/4 of a mile so I can se people coming from at least 500m either side. the footpath is 200m from where i would erect my hide. Is it legal to fire a shotgun on these fields when they are empty of walkers? jimDfish
Cranfield
The situation as you describe it, sounds OK. Check out this "history", you might find it useful. http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.u...paths

squintshot
The laws differ in England and Scotland but in england you need to be no less than 50 feet from the centre line of the road not sure about footpaths though (also i'm not sure where you'd stand legally standing on the kerb of the M6 shooting). In Scotland no such law exists the you could be charged with a public nuisance offence. You may wish to double check this as this is from memory.
