Hhm, I cant really help you anymore there then bud , the no, 1 bore pellets I found had turned white, through oxyidation, and I chucked them in the bin, dustmen came today so they have gone! they were sold by a English company but I cant remember which one.! on the front of the cardboard boxes was a cartoon of a black cat as if it was receiving a electric shock! If I was you I would write to Airgun World and ask their old airgun expert with the knowledge you have gleaned, and I am sure he can help you with your quest!!Good luck, Ron , B,MAN1

Yep I have just been scanning german air rifle sites, and cant find out re, no,1 bore, if I remember it could have been Milbro who was selling them, shame slugs and boxes went in the refuse this morning.

Hi, I used to fire these out of a post war Diana "gat type" pistol, They were called "Lanes cat slugs" and were no.1 CAL or .175. I could never get normal .177 pellets or darts to fit it but these fit nice and snug. i got my father to sell the gun in 1986 as we could no longer get the ammo for it. :good: I still have the odd empty card box lying around the weapons room, I'll try to send a picture of it if i find it.

Whats written/stamped on the side of it mate.

Tony

the stamp to the right of the 2nd pic says "made in ModerN England"

and the edge on the stamp on the top of the 2nd pic says "ModerN"

Cheers

Might have more collectors' value if it were made in, say, MedievaL England, or RomaN England. :good:

Cheers!

Jim
