Oly
I know it sounds daft, but did you try turning it the other way at all? Sometimes you can inadvertantly turn it the wrong way. Also, did it alter at all after you turned it?
steyrman
no oly mate i did not try turning it the other way its clearly marked up and down but know what you mean i had a scope a while back that you had to turn in the opposite direction in order to go the right way?:o? i will give it a go after chrimbo will let you know how i get on john
Baldrick
It may sound silly to ask, but are you certain that the scope is aligned properly in the mounts?
deadeye ive
went out to zero a scope today a nikko sterling 6-24 x56 nighteater on the sako hmr got the windage spot on goes on to the elevation to find it was shooting way to low turned the elevation to the max still shooting way low HELP PLEASE :look: ^_^ Ideally with the help of a few diagrams I could explain better so here go's without. 1,On both windage and elevation dials wind them right in then noting how many FULL 360 degree turns wind them right out .If it's 8 let's say then wind back in 4 turns only as this will give you 50% adjustment either way and a laymens way of somehow getting the reticle in the CENTRE of it's housing tube (exterior body IOW's). 2,Now IF you've happened to have used all your windage adjustment Left OR Right putting the reticle near it's outer body then the verticle or Elevation adjustment will be severly reduced .An idealy shape for housing the reticle would be square . To understand better just draw a 2" circle and then a 1" circle inside it touching one side and you'll see howmuch up /down movement is left . In other words for maximunm elevation adjustment the windage reticle has to be central in it's body . Hope I have made some sense.
