FBF
my 4 month old GSP pup is really rough with my bulldog, to the point that he is getting scabs and cuts all over from her mauling him. i know in the dog world he would growl and if she didnt get the hint a nip would see her off and a bite would do the trick as a final resort then the pup would learn. but the bully is just too damn good. he will only growl at her which she seems to take as "lets play" i want him to nip her really so she learns. any tips for me? hes an american bulldog and a very big stocky one for that fact he is a 5 yr old male and the GSP is a bitch, literally
Cranfield
In my experience, dogs will rarely attack a bitch, but if your dog gets really cross your GSP could be seriously hurt. I assume you are correcting her when she starts the aggressive "playing", if so, you might have to step up the correction level a bit. Perhaps someone else has personal experience of this problem and can chip in.

Cranfield
I would stop her when you feel its too much, some interaction is good for her and I'm sure your dog enjoys it as well.
catroofel
i had the same problem with my terrier to start with but he was biting ME while playing. then i was watching that dog wisperer guy on tele and he did like a mock bite to the throat, accompanied by a sharp hiss, with his hand. tried this on him and he's now a joy to play with before my hands were getting cut to ribbons
