Hi, im after a rifle in .243, but have very little knowledge of what make to go for, im thinking of a zeiss, or swarofski scope, but what are the best rifle makes to be looking at?? il be using it for foxing/deer etc.

Im thinking along the lines of tikka t3, remington 700, browning a-bolt-also want a synthetic stock, and stainless/matt action and barrel?

opinions appreciated!

hi i have a sako .243 with a t8 moderator with a schmidt & bender 8x56 and it is the nuts it has had thousands of rounds through it and it is spot on i can get 5 shots in a 2'' circle at 180/200 yrds and never looses its accuracy i personaly dont think there is much difference in the brand names of rifle as most are made to a high standard but make sure you get a good quality scope that is what makes the differance

sauer make nice rifles my farther has got rid of all his and has 3 sauer 202 outbacks in .22.250, .243, and 30-06 the bolts are very smooth and quiet which is good for roe stalking the barrels are stainless and the stocks are synthetic

with regards to the scope id go for swarovski as they are one of the best by far i have the 8.5x42 el bins and they are superb as are the scopes they make hope this helps a bit
