Peely
Morning All, I am just starting to get into clay shooting and think it is about time that I enter a couple of Sunday morning comps. Can anybody explain the difference between a Reg event and an Open event. I guess the Open is as it says, open to all. With a Reg event do I need to be registered with a certain body or can I just turn up and shoot at the event anyway? Thanks Graham
Emmsy
registered events you need to ba a CPSA member you can shoot them as birds only but your scores wont get you a classification unless you join the CPSA
Peely
Thanks Emmsy, So just to confirm, I can turn up and shoot, but the score that I shoot would only be my information. Graham
pin
The CPSA used to run a "day ticket" scheme, where you can shoot a registered competition as a member for that one day, you'd need to check the website to see if they still do it. I seem to remember they were stopping it or something, could be wrong.
Emmsy
lets be honest here what the cpsa want the ground owners to do and what the ground owners actually do will be 2 different things just turn upto a regisered shoot and the ground owner will let you shoot. who in there right mind turns away paying guests?? the ground owners love it cus every non registered shooter they get through the door is extra profit. they dont bother telling the cpsa that some non registered shooters have shot.
