clubb699 Posted January 11, 2008 Report Share Posted January 11, 2008 Hi all, Was given a oily rag to wipe down gun after using the gun, i could do with re-oiling my rag and was wondering what oil you lads are using to oil down the outside of the gun is it special gun oil or something else will be fine. trakker01 Posted January 12, 2008 Report Share Posted January 12, 2008 10-40 synthetic, or any engine oil, i threw an old pilla case in the tub, let ot soak thru & squeezed it out real good..& use it on all my guns, keeping it in the base of my safe , to expell moisture too........ ........but deffinatley NO WD40 !! mad al Posted February 3, 2008 Report Share Posted February 3, 2008 I use Tesco Nut Oil. Do the whole rifle with this and keeps them tip top. I used to use Raw Linseed Oil, diluted 50/50 with white spirit for my stocks but have found nut oil good enough for the job to be honest.
