Vulcha
Hi! I have had my BSA Supersport (.22 cal) since Christmas. I am still trying to find which pellets work best! I have tried BSA Elites, BSA Storms (Which my shop deosn't stock anymore) Eley Wasps, RWS Super-H-Point and Milbro Caladonian. However, I haven't found any pellet which is very consistent. My scope was zeroed at 35 meters with all the pellts. I was getting good results with the hollow-points but now there going crappy. Does anyone own a supersport? If so, can they tell me what they use?
bennyblanco
super-h points went well in my .177, accupells are well made and light. i cant stress the sheer shooting joy of changing the crappy trigger for the modded alloy one, did a gasram and trigger on my mates and it shoots aswell as my longbow. ring bsa tommorrow! £13!!! Vulcha
What!?! They fitted a gas-ram and a new trigger for £13!?!
1 of 5
You appear to be working your way through every **** brand about. Try some good brands such as AA Field, Accupell, or H&N FTT. Better still get a pelpax to narrow the choice down to a few good brands
Aled_cky
i use RWS Super-Point for birds and Eley Wasp 5.6mm(blue tin) these work very well.. power on gun is starting to wear now as over 6000 shots gone through. Aled

bennyblanco
£13 for the trigger parts, transforms the gun!
Vulcha
How much for the gas ram?
sharp_shooter
£5-£7 for the GOOD PELLETS
Vulcha
And are you sure they will work well in my gun?
bennyblanco
after using a lightning with the mods, i think the trigger is the best 1st step, rams improove things but that plastic piece of sh$t needs to go in the bin. accupells are very well made and suit most springers.# i got a brand new ram for £40 and fitted it myself, was from a guy from bedford/cambridge
1 of 5
And how much is it for 500 of these "Good pellets"? As said £5 to £7 but how much is hitting the target worth. It's not worth spending a half hour stalking a rabbit and then missing 'cos you wanted to save a halfpenney on the price of that bit of lead! No point in getting a decent gun a feeding it on rubbish. Vulcha
Good pint. I'll try some. Which do you reckon i should go for?
1 of 5
A Pelpax is always a good idea as it'll narrow the choice down to a few to try more thoroughly. Having said that I always reach for Fields first with any new .22 gun and Daystates/ JSB exacts in .177. If those don't work I try Accupells next in both calibres. It's rare that I ever have to go on from there before finding one that'll print regular groups at a half inch or better at 35 yds.
Vulcha
I bought some accupells today. They seem to group well at 40 meters. However, they seem slightly small for my barrel. Can you get them in a slightly larger size? Like 5.56mm?
bennyblanco
no, they are always a bit small. should go ok. DO THE TRIGGER! you will thank me one day

Vulcha
They don't slide down the barrel, they just kinda flick out if you're not carefull. Shall phone bsa and get a new trigger as soon as i can. £13 you said yea?
bennyblanco
got a few o-rings and barrel seals and it all came to £15, make sure you ask for the alloy trigger. if i can find the invoice i will give part no.'s and instuctions.
