farm boy
How long is a piece of string? it really depends in which part of the UK you live in , I have heard of some real horror storys ,with the Police messing people about, I live in the Thames Valley area , I think it took about a month , it was nearly five years ago , I can't quite remember but it was not too bad , my worry is that if you complain they might delay it longer or worse still you might not get it at all. Best of luck .Farm boy Edited October 23, 2009 by farm boy

mike.ginty
It took about 4 months from sending application to getting certificate with humberside firearms and a few phone calls. dont forget they need to send an FEO for a home visit and check security, check on your countersigner and sometimes get a medical report from your GP this all takes a long time especially waiting on a GP for a medical report if after all that they still have any concerns they could do a check for previous convictions as long as you were honest on your application and interview you will be ok even if you have minor convictions but them down as long as your not a murder, have voilent tendaces or are a few sandwiches short of a picnic or lie on your application, you'll get one.
