fox call

I simply down load clips, like those on the link above and loop calls together using Nero and save on my phone, I have a 40min sound track with 4 different calls on it and silences of up to 5 mins mixed in.

Then put the phone out on sticks in front of the shooting position and set it playing.

An old ipod, some £10 amplified speakers from Argos and "cotton tail distress young.mp3" from the above site got me a vixen in at 20 yds last night!

nice 1 mate you got any pics

I'm out again tonight so I'll take some pics of the setup. I put the whole lot in a ziplock bag to keep it dry and you can still work the ipod whilst it's sealed in the bag.

Here's my effort... total cost: £8.99 + an old ipod.

Had some initial success with it, however the particular fox I am after at the moment is having none of it. The damn thing will sneak around me in the shadows at night just where he knows I can't get a shot off and then when I go home he trots bold as brass past the farmer in broad daylight to rub my nose in it!

I've just cut out the squeaker from a toy. It's basically a plastic tube and if you blow into it a good squeal of varying pitch comes out. Look forward to trying it out.

My girlfriend's dad used to take one of her squeaky toys out shooting complete when she was a kid
