Should i wait a few days before i shoot it for pigeons, to let the get addicted to it! OR Shoot now! becuase they were feeding on it before on the fattend bits!? With modern harvesting methods, not a lot of grain/seed gets spilt and the birds will soon move on. Also, Mr Farmer is very quick to plow in the stubbles, well round here he is. Magpies are gay Posted July 23, 2004 Author Report Share Posted July 23, 2004 I went to the cut barley yesturday morning for 5 hours!! when i got there, there were not pigeons! i thorght a well maby my car scared them off!..so i set out the decoys 30 yards out, and 4 crows out the the side of them 20 yards ish from em. Waited for about 30mins!! my crow decoys worked on a carrian crow!!! Bang him down! but still no sign of a pigeon flying around any were!!! DID THEY KNOW I WAS COMING!? Rob_88 Posted July 24, 2004 Report Share Posted July 24, 2004 I was out the other day shooting pigeons on corn and we just decided to pack up as there were very few pigeons coming in, and as we began packing up they started coming back in again, its as if they know when its safe.
