apbuild
If anyone reads this posting and are fairly new to the sport of pigeon decoying, I would strongly reccomend that they purchase and read 'The Pigeon Shooter' by John Batley. This book details what, where, when, and how to shoot pigeon. I found the information given was easy to understand and next time I go into the field, I may even slip the book into my decoying rucksack. Anyone else got the book? What do you think of it? The Sniper
apbuild, Welcome to the forum. I use a lot of tips that John advocates. One of the best is the hide that is attached to the hide poles. It takes a lot less time to set up the hide, as per the square box type. Easy to put a roof on as well, if necessary. The only improvement I have made is to make some spars out of garden canes to reinforce between the tops of the poles, and always carry some para cord, with camping stakes, to tie the hide down in high winds. Enjoy the forum.
