I didn`t managed to get many photos this year as it was either too wet or snowing

 

The Den ! Birds came over here with the wind behind them and well up too, I didn`t get much, just finished off a partridge and a cock for the neighbouring gun

The first drive of the day was really fun, as we had a pair of crows come towards the line and the one nearest me circled back so I shouted to the guns to my left to "Shoot the bl%dy crow !" but they wouldn`t as they said it was too high, the other crow then circled back.......towards me at about the same height. "Come on then shoot the bl%dy thing then !" the guns cried at me laughing, so I did and down it came Modesty forbids me from mentioning the estimated height of it.

 

Last drive was also a corker, I dropped 2 birds at my neighbours feet and also shot a crossing bird that went down the line and no-one but me had a shot at, they thought it too far out.

 

Cracking day and good banter too. Last 2 birds, my neighbour carried the other 2

Finally Fridays fun and games. It snowed from 8am until 2 pm and the wind was 40-50 mph from the north so we were dressed accordingly. Most birds were only fired at with one barrel as by then they were 100yds or so away, however those that were hit were dead in the air as the speed they hit the shot column was phenomenal.

First drive we had to wait about 45 minutes and I managed 2 shots and decided it was too dangerous for me to carry on shooting due to frozen hands, I haven`t been that cold in a long time.

Our final day on friday, I was in shirt sleeves all day, at one point I was to hot

 

Mind you the scenery was nothing like you've got there.
