Cranfield
"More is best" probably reflects the opinion of most decoyers and I tend to agree with this, putting out at least 25 and sometimes 50 odd. However, I have had good days with 2 floater/bouncers and 6 decoys. I doubt there is a "correct" answer to your question.
topmantim
thanks ,really just seeing what seems to be a average .but yea i no what you mean ive put 3 out before and have a good day .but that was on peas, just at the mo am like quite a few others stugging on rape.keep trying is the answer i suppose
Blackbart
At this time of year on rape more is better than less, just look at the way they are grouped up at the minute, any small groups or lone pigeons will expect to see lots and lots on the rape so as many as youve got is the answer

Cranfield
On high rape, don't be afraid to present your decoys on pegs a foot or so off the ground. They may look odd close to, but at a distance (and to pigeons) they look OK.
