MC Posted February 8, 2008 Report Share Posted February 8, 2008 I used to work for the company who imported Baikals and you could never interchange barrels, they require quite a lot of hand fitting and is a costly process. the last engineer Posted February 11, 2008 Report Share Posted February 11, 2008 just wondering, if i was to buy a second set of barrels for my baikals second hand would i have to get them checked with my baikal, is there a specific procedure or just fit and use them? not to dampen your spirits, second set barrels are a no-go on cheaper guns, the fit/action/ejector system doesnt warrent making them, thats not to say it cant be done, it will cost you more than the gun will to replace, a more expensive gun will offer this option, the higher end guns have sets made to such accurate tolerancing fitting is not a problem, all my Brownings will swap barrels with no function problems, just make sure the forend goes with the barrels, and dont mix them up.
