Stealth Stalker
I'm getting one of my hobs done tomorrow, I'm not sure which one I'll decide in the morning. The question I've got... will I need to keep him seperate from the other ferts after the op to give him time to settle if so how long, & when will he be truly infertile? I recall reading it can be about 6months? Cheers SS
ShaggyRS6
I asked the vet today. Keep em away for a month to allow all the Sperm to dissapear.
tiercel
SS I believe it is 6 weeks to be certain. Ask the vet they should know. TC
tiercel
Lee, As you seem to be going into ferrets seriously you might want to read this. Some real good tips in there.
ShaggyRS6
Thanks Tiercel. Currently reading the info on the train. Packed with information. Luckily I kept the first hutch we bought when we first got Brian. I shall keep him in that and put the 2 girls in the big court when he has had the snip. One thing surprised me was the range of prices locally to get him done. Ranging from £39.99 to a whopping £95.00 I also found out that it is deemed unethical to de-scent Ferrets in this Country, something which is common place in the U.S.
