Mrs Sweepy
mits came into season on the 20th of jan. or so we thought. she bleed and her bits were swollen now like i said before she did not bleed much and within a week her lady bits had gone down . just like her first season last april . as we have a male dog we kept them apart . to be save i kept them away from each other for 28 days . so this weekend i let then mix again . monday evening when i was playing with them i notice a few spots of blood on the floor was not really bother as mits have had her season , thought one of them had cut them selves while we were out walking like they do . today when feeding mits i notice that she was dripping blood . when i try to have a closer look it was like the flood gates had open blood and pee every where . so i have now made a appoinment to see the vets at 3.00 oclock i have a feeling he is going to tell me she is in season if so poor mits could be in deep dodo. and i shell feel that i have let her down i will let you know suzy

Paul in North Lincs.
accidents do happen....................and it takes a while to fully understand the menstral cycle of dogs. The vet will get you sorted and give the appropriate advice..... Its not the first and certainly not the last time an accidental mating has occured...(if it has at all)...... so dont beat yourself up about it. One thing is for sure, .......you will be more vigilant next time round ..............a good learnign curve I'd call it everything will be fine Mrs S. dont worry
Mrs Sweepy
just got back, vet gave her a good check over. we got keep a eye on her eating and drinking .make sure she dont have trouble weeing . like he said she could have eating or drank something while out . or she could be in season i feel its the latter . he check her down below and said she was a little swollen but not to much . anyway he has put her on some antibiotics in case she has a infection . and we have got to go back in about 4 weeks time to see if she has fallen . which he seem to think was unlikely . he did say that it has been known for a season to last up to 6 weeks . but you would not have the bleeding at this late stage. anyway its back to keeping sammy and mits apart . and fingers cross for 4 weeks time . martin the name for a springer +clumber is a cluminger spaniel they have the build of a clumber.and the markings of the springer . they look like a springer on steroids . not the best mix i should think . especially if they are as fast and agile as a springer but with the weight and strength of a clumber you would soon know about it if that came bounding back at you when training it xxxsuzy
