badgerman
ok this one isnt strictly a game recipe but it stems from one. looking at some pigeon dishes that were recommended served on thick slice toast and salad, i thought i'd try one, but reckoned it would be even better if i made the bread myself. so for the first time ever i gave it a go on saturday, and tried to make a couple of baguettes. long story short i was very pleased with the results but they weren't exactly light and fluffy, but rather had a hard crust and reasonably dense middle. i was happy for a first time effort, but wondered if anyone here has ever made bread themselves? i dont have a machine i just did it by hand. i know we've got a few foody types around, so any good tips or nice recipes? - preferably with pigeons in mind as i've got a serious ammount to use up! cheers all, BM.
