Big_Sam
Load of complete ********. You can have as many as you want! They will need to print you a fresh ticket though once 3 is on it.

sphinx121
Good to hear, might encourage me to do a bit of gun hunting at the Game fare on Sunday!
Big_Sam
If you ticket has a full table on the back you need to get that cleared before you can buy more I think, so pop past your firearms department and get them to print a new one while you wait. Your mate is probably confusing the fact that SGC guns are limit to 3 shots max, with more than 3 shots needing an FAC.
Baldrick
Sam, you can't have as many as you like. The FEO usually starts getting a little agitated when you've got more than 12 shotguns on an SGC - I was capped at 30 shotguns by the Met and Norfolk FEOs, althought I have since got rid of over half my arsenal (my own concerns over security, insurance and lack of use). A relative has his collection capped at 34 shotguns.

Jimbo57
There is absolutely nothing in the laws that limit the number of shotguns you can hold on a SGC. And you don't have to tell the police why you want so many or justify the number in any way. Some polices might ask for more security if you have a lot. Lothian & Borders police normally wants a steel cabinet if you have more than one shotgun and an alarm system if you have more than 12. But you would probably want to safeguard your guns in that way anyway. The full Home Office guidance manual can be found on the wildfowling forum but remember it is only guidance, not the law. If your local polices get awkward BASC will sort them out for you.

Baldrick
Having an alam installed makes plenty of sense when you think of the cost of reinstating the content of your cabinet. Yes, there's no legal requirement, but it is advisable.
