sbald
Hi, This is my first post so please be gentle with me, I have been shooting for around 2 years (second time around)mainly rough shooting with some wildfowling and very occasional clays. Currently using a Bettinsolli but looking for a new gun can anyone advise me on webley and scott 900 series or 1000 series or would I be better saving for something like a Silver Pigeon. Thanks
viking
hi mate, the general vibe on hear is to stay away from weblys as there turkish gun and not overly good, although some would not agree, the sp would be a good gun to get, are you after a game or a sport gun, sxs or o/u, lee
Dead-Eyed Duck
You will never, ever go wrong if you buy a Beretta Silver Pigeon. Don
CEREALTHRILLER
My advise ,and I'm sure most people on this forum would say the same, is to go to a gun shop or even better a clay ground and try(actually shoot) as many as you can and get the one that feels right for you. It's amazing how different they all feel. That way you'll be happy with your purchase.
sbald
Thanks for the replys perhaps I didnt explain well, I intend to try out different guns but was wanting users feedback on reliability, build quality etc as everyone I shoot with has Bettinsolli or Lanbers. Bradders
You wont go far wrong with a Lanber as a 1st gun. I had one (Sporting M/C) for over 20years and it never let me down, Only sold it to make room in my cabinet for a Beretta 686, to be honest wish I kept the Lanber. It's what fits best and what you feel comfortable with that counts.....Oh and you could buy a new Lanber for about £
clayman
NEVER, NEVER, buy a gun on brand. ALWAYS, ALWAYS buy a gun that fits YOU!!!! If you don't yet know how to define a gunfit on yourself, get lessons from a good coach so when you go to a gun shop you choose the one that FITS. A £100 Russian gun that FITS will get you far more targets than a fancy gun thats a preferred brand / recommended by a mate / FITS YOU SIR suggested by the dealer. Spending your money on knowledge will pay great dividends. Jerry Parks Young CPSA Senior Coach
Acesandeights
I was told that Webleys are made in Italy by Fausti... Is that not correct?
