number 1 Posted June 20, 2002 Report Share Posted June 20, 2002 THE WHEAT AND BARLEY ARE STILL GREEN IN HAMPSHIRE AT THE MOMENT BUT THERE COMING ON AND SHOULD BE READY IN A FEW WEEKS BUT I HAVE NEVER SHOT ANY BIRDS ON LAID BARLEY BECAUSE ROUND HERE THEY NEVER SEEM TO FEED ON IT SO I NEVER TRY HAVE YOU SHOT LARGE NUMBERS ON LIAD BARLEY BEFORE? Deako Posted June 20, 2002 Author Report Share Posted June 20, 2002 Number 1, keep an eye on your barley fields for the first sign of a flat patch, if its the only one in the area, birds will hammer it. If the farmer will wear it, try to give the birds a couple of days on it before shooting, we've made several 3 figure bags over laid barley.
